Abstract

Despite the well-known relevancy of environmental criteria relating to urban planning, they often remain as objectives and do not  become proposals. In the case of Tres Cantos, an important challenge has been proposed: the approval of an ordinance, called Bioclimatic Ordinance, that promotes a proportional urban development relating to the territory, that reduces the use of ground and water, that is respectful towards the landscape and encourages bioclimatic construction against the traditional one.
