Teacher Training in Chilean Higher Education: Conceptual and Methodological Bases for Impact Evaluation

Abstract

This article presents a study that aims to develop a theoretical and methodological framework compiling the key elements that should be considered when planning and implementing an impact evaluation in higher education and the subsequent management of its results, specifically within teacher training programs. The study employs a qualitative approach and a descriptive design, based on a literature review and analysis, and the methodological application of conceptual mapping as a scientific research technique. It is hoped that this study will contribute to the development of a theoretical and conceptual framework to guide teams beginning the design and implementation of this type of evaluation in the educational field.
